3,500 kilometres of hope for tamariki with cancer and their whānau
“I can’t change a [childhood cancer] diagnosis. I can’t take away the pain. But I can ride every day, every kilometre to honour their journey and to show them, and their whānau, that they are not alone.”
These are the words of former MP Nuk Korako, who tomorrow is set to embark on a mammoth 3,500km+ e-bike ride from Perth to Melbourne, in a bid to raise money for children facing childhood cancer on both sides of the Tasman.
This incredible journey, the ANZCARE Endurance Ride, was inspired by the courage and determination of our very own Star ambassador Indi; and though Nuk knows the kilometres ahead are set to be tough, he is steadfast in his mission to support children and families facing childhood cancer.
This ride has only been made possible thanks to the support of some very generous sponsors, so we also wanted to say a huge thank you to:
- Consilium
- Maui Motorhomes
- Signtech
- TrackMe Adventure
- Wattwheels
- Korako Family Trust
- Christine Korako
- Inspire Me Women
- Scenic Hotel Group
