Apply for a Personal Development Grant
Moemoeā*

Have a child impacted by childhood cancer, who hasn’t received a Personal Development Grant (PDG) yet?
Whether they’re on treatment, off treatment or a sibling (including a bereaved sibling) and between 0-12 years old, we warmly encourage you to apply!

What is it?

A Personal Development Grant (PDG) is a one-off grant of up to $500.

It’s designed to help children impacted by childhood cancer and their siblings take part in something they love. It could be a music class, sports team, coding course, kapa haka, tutoring or another enriching activity that helps inspire them.

The goal is to encourage tamariki of all abilities to envision life beyond cancer and build confidence, explore their passions and simply feel the joy of being a kid.

Apply for a PDG

Children between the ages of 0-12 who have not received a PDG before are eligible to apply. Please keep in mind that grants are for experience-based activities – ones that inspire your child to reach for their dreams!

Applications are reviewed quarterly, and close at the end of January, April, July and October. You will hear back from us by the end of the month that follows the closing date.

Whether your tamariki are into science or swimming, or picking up a guitar or poi for the first time, we can’t wait to see how their PDG encourages them to achieve their aspirations!
