Five ways to make a difference this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which is a time to shine a light on the thousands of children and their families across the world who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
We would love your help to raise awareness and funds this September for the tamariki and whānau who are impacted by childhood cancer in Aotearoa. Keep reading to learn five simple ways you can make a difference this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Become a regular giver
Help Kiwi kids with cancer and their families all year round by making affordable, automatic donations on a regular basis. You’ll receive an annual receipt at the end of the financial year to submit with your tax claim.
Donate your tax credits
Did you know that donations made to Child Cancer Foundation are eligible for a 33% rebate from the IRD?
Support Kiwi kids without opening your wallet by paying forward the tax credits of donations you have made in the past. It’s super easy, and it doesn’t cost you another cent!
Host a fundraiser
Support tamariki and whānau whose lives have been turned upside down by childhood cancer by joining the incredible people who fundraise for Child Cancer Foundation.
From bake sales to quiz nights – there are so many fun ways to raise funds to support tamariki with cancer!
Become a volunteer
Volunteer your time to help whānau impacted by childhood cancer in a fulfilling and memorable way.
We have a wide range of exciting volunteering opportunities, from collecting donations from the public during our annual Street Appeal to helping out at family events organised by our Whānau Connect Groups!
Leave a gift in your will
Support children and whānau whose lives have been turned upside down by childhood cancer by leaving a gift for Child Cancer Foundation in your will.
Every year, more than a third of the funds we need to support families is donated by people who make a gift in their wills. Making a gift in your will to support the work of Child Cancer Foundation leaves the legacy of a future in which all Kiwi children with cancer and their families receive life-changing support when they need it most.
